Terms of Use
These are the terms between you — the grown-up who holds the account — and Tamayuz Learning. They are written to be read, not skimmed.
What Tamayuz is
Tamayuz Learning is an app in which a grown-up prepares reading for a child: programs of pages the child reads aloud, with a short game after each one, in Arabic, English and French. The programs are made by Tamayuz; you choose which ones your child reads.
What is free
The first lesson of every program is free, whole — all of its pages and its games — for every child on your account, for as long as you like. No card is asked for.
What a subscription opens
A subscription opens the rest of the lessons. Solo opens one subject you choose. Plus opens every subject. Class is for a teacher: it opens every subject for as many children as the teacher teaches, and their families pay nothing.
A plan covers every child on your account, including a child you add later. Plus and Class include every subject and every program we add while your subscription lasts; Solo includes every program we add to its subject.
Paying
A subscription is bought through the store on your device — Google Play or the App Store — which takes the money, renews it, and handles cancelling and refunds under its own terms. We never see your card and take no money ourselves. The price you see in the store is the price you pay.
Until the stores sell our plans, we may open a subject for your child by hand when you ask for it. That is a gift, not a subscription, and it can be withdrawn.
When a subscription ends
When a subscription lapses or is refunded, the lessons it opened close again. The first lesson of every program stays open, nothing your child has read is deleted, and your account and its diary stay exactly as they were.
Children
A child has no account and no password: a child is a first name, a colour and an age on your account. A child reads on your device, or on their own through a link you give them. That link is the key to what they are reading, and who holds it is for you to decide.
Your account
You must be an adult to hold an account, and it is yours to use for your own family or your own class. Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app or from the deletion page, and everything in it goes with it.
We may switch off an account that is used to harm the app, its material or other families. Nothing in it is deleted by that, and you can write to us.
The material
The programs, pages, pictures, voices and games are Tamayuz's. They are for reading with the children on your account or in your class, and not for copying, sharing or selling on.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the foot of this page changes with them, and the new terms apply from then on. If you keep using Tamayuz after that, you accept them.
